When you click on the attached web link I have provided for each piece of legislation you will find that you can also subscribe to receive email updates as the bills work their way through the legislature. So please subscribe to each bill so you are aware as to their progress.

SUPA's only goal with these pieces of legislation is to improve the quality of Public Safety on the CSU Campuses and to improve the quality of life for all CSU Police Personnel. SUPA had gone to the CSU prior to these pieces of legislation having been introduced and has asked them to work with us and support these bills in an effort to help improve the CSU Police System and the quality of Public Safety services to the CSU Campuses. So far we have received no commitment from the CSU that they will work with SUPA on these issues. As President of SUPA I publicly ask the CSU to work with SUPA to achieve these positive and proactive pieces of legislation, their passage will greatly improve the Public Safety on the CSU Campuses and will insure the safety of our law enforcement personnel providing this valuable service to their respective campus community's.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you or ANY member of your UPD has a question on these important pieces of legislation.

I also urge all of you to write your local Assembly and Senate member and ask for their support of these pieces of legislation as well.

Thank you.

JIM
